In 1963, within a few years, several acres were planted and ready for the Holiday harvest (some for wholesale as well as a few for sale as cut-your-own). As the 1970’s came to a close, the demand had grown to the point where the entire family was becoming involved in the venture and an additional farm was purchased. Beginning in the 1980’s, the Showers Family began supplying trees not only for the Holiday Season but throughout the year for landscapers, as well as private individuals to replant. In the span of just over 20 years what had started as an experiment had grown into a year-around business supplying thousands of evergreens to buyers and private individuals all along the east coast.

Today the farms are owned and managed by Matt & Sonya Showers, grandson and daughter-in-law of Clair & Louetta, original owners (with many others, both family and friends, helping along the way). Showers Tree Farm now consists of four individual farms, each with many different varieties of evergreens for you to choose from. We sell locally and out of state to landscapers and retail businesses as well as private individuals. In addition to our wide selection of evergreens, we offer wreaths, greens for home trimming, tree stands, free tree bailing and cheerful assistance with loading and securing your purchases for your trip home. Everything we offer comes with our promise that we cut and dig only as needed, ensuring the freshness, health and longevity of our trees. Three generations are now making our farm better than ever, with new ideas and services to offer our customers for the future.
